I guess they don't want to make any commitments. That's frustrating. I hope it's just temporary until they finish reviewing the ACE equivalencies.

Which course and what is the new equivalency?

Sophia Project Management went from MAN 435 Project Management to MAN 235 Intro to Project Managment. He had the class planned on his LDAS application to be taken through Sophia, but the preplanned evaluation did not specify it as Sophia.

I am confused. Are you saying the course was taken, the transcript received, and put in the evaluation as MAN 435 and then they went back in and changed it to MAN235? Or it was just preplanned that it would be MAN435 but after taking it and sending in the transcript, it came in as MAN235?

TESU is goes by ACE equivalencies (at least they are as of recent) - so, if he completed it before 02/28/18 then it is ACE recommended as UL = TESU MAN 435, if completed on or after 03/01/18 it's recommended as LL = TESU MAN 235

We had sent a couple transcripts to TESU. I usually start checking the evaluation almost daily a few days after they show as received. Eventually, I saw that the courses were added to the evaluation. All were placed as expected, including Sophia as MAN435. About a week after that, we received the email stating the evaluation had been done. It has usually been the case that we receive that email a few days after we see the courses added to the evaluation, but this one seemed to have a larger gap. So I looked again and the Sophia class had been lowered and moved. I guess the evaluation is not complete until they say it is.

Do you know when the course was completed? If it was completed prior to 02/28/18 then you should be able to win an appeal (as the ACE recommendation was UL), plus they have an agreement with Sophia on place for that course coming in as UL still ( https://tesu.sophia.org/#courses) - You only have 30 days to appeal it - https://www.tesu.edu/academics/catalog/p...guidelines

That's a bummer. Sounds like you preplanned in generic "project management" as a course you were going to take, and they put it in as if you were going to take it through them (which is why they put in MAN-435). Then, it came in on an ACE transcript and they put it where it should have gone. Then, they went back and checked the completion date, found that it was after 2/28/18, and corrected it to the LL that it became on that date.
The good news is that it's still an UL course at Study.com, so he'll probably be able to get through it quickly since he just completed a very similar course.
