how do i find out my Dantes result?

if it's a paper testing center how do i find out the results? sorry if it's been posted somewhere, but i have searched and can't find it. also, am wondering if there is a website that has a list of testing center that distinguish between if it's a paper testing center or computer?

Hi Tia,

With paper tests, you will receive the results via mail from Prometric, DSST. Usually, the results take 2-4 weeks, with the exception of the Principals of Public Speaking test which takes 8 weeks.

If you go to to getcollegecredit.com you can find out where the testing centers are and whether they have paper or computer-based testing. When you get to the site, click on "Student and Adult Learners" at the top of the page, and then click on "locate an institution". You can click on your specific criteria and region and it will show the institutions and whether they administer CBT. You might want to call ahead - a college showed they had CBT on-line and when I went there, they said they didn't have it up and running yet.

I have gotten results in the mail as quick as 1 week and as slow as 3 weeks. You have to call all test centers first to be sure they give the test every day and to make an appointment. You also might want to check if they are doing the new test scoring method or the old one if they do computer based test.

what does it mean when they say the place "awards credit for DSST exams."? does that mean they give you the results there or that they accept the DSST exams for credit? sorry i'm new and confused still.

also if the result is being mailed form Dantes will it be a pass/fail grade or a score grade?

It will show you what the minimum to pass score is aned what your actual score is.
