I did three courses with Study.com (2 for my BA and one for my in-progress BS) and loved them. I would have continued to use them as much as I could if they fit into my plan. I know a few people are not as big as a fan of the videos and the many, many quizzes (sanantone in particular has given fair reasons why she doesn't like them), but they fit my learning style. I have to speed up the the videos though, because they are excruciatingly slow paced.

but i have a terrible attention span, so the short videos and followup quizzes helped me stay focused and not day dream so much. it was all psych stuff (even the course for my current program was psych -- org behavior) so I had enough background that it was mostly just refresher material reinforcing what i already knew and not necessarily learning new material -- but it satisfied what i needed.

I've discovered a similar setup to help prepare me for my current program in TestOut/Labsim, which is designed to help one pass IT certifications. it reminds me a lot of study.com. Short videos and quick quizzes. It's working just as well for me so far. Too bad Study.com doesn't have an IT cert wing :p

I love them. I will put the videos on auto play and listen to them in the car during my commute.

If I were to be sent to hell, the best way to punish me would be to make me watch Study.com videos.

LOL, some love it and some hate it. I am very thankful they have text.

I haven't tried SL yet. I hope I am not forced to watch videos.

I'd much rather have the option of reading a small transcript or watching a 5-7ish minute video at 2.5x speed than being forced to only read a textbook. Talk about boring...

I'll just never understand the critique of the videos. You aren't forced to watch them. They give you the exact same lesson in writing right underneath. Now I can understand the critique of the number of quizzes, but I see people complain about the videos more than the quiz amounts.

If I didn't speed up the videos I'd probably not like them too, but it's not that big of a deal and it's an easy process to speed them up

Agree 100%. They are agonizingly slow at normal speed.
