You only need 60%.
People taking the actual course you do need 70%, but that's because it's easier because of the discussion groups, open-book assignments, etc. They don't take the TECEP at all.

The minimum score for the actual class is 73%. C- is not acceptable for area of study courses or English comp. 60% is way easier than 73% IMHO.
In general, people taking actual classes at TESU or elsewhere to take hard-to-get AOS courses have to remember to avoid the C- by getting at least a 72% or 73% depending on the school.

Nope, the course is brutal. Tons of writing, company comparisons/reports using the case studies in the 2nd half of the book. The course is a true business capstone. BTW, the midterm and final exams at TESU are not easy. Most fail or score low on the midterm exams. Now that the finals are also proctored would guess folks are not scoring as well on those either. The TECEP, in my opinion, is much much easier; one exam vs two and of course omits extensive written requirements.
At one time some of the finals were open book, or notes. When I was a student, finals were online but you really didn't have that much time to look up stuff in a book. If you were not prepared you did not do well. I think currently it's some math and accounting courses that allow open book midterm/final. And that's mostly due to the needed schedules, formulas, etc. The discussion posts and written assignments, if you do well, help to offset the test grades. Just a pov from someone who took more than a few TESU courses.

For short answer questions, about how many words is there space for? Could I do like 30-40 words, or would I have to do more like 25 max, or 20 max? I find it easier if there's more space available. If space is limited, I need to start thinking of everything in a more condensed way.
For essay questions, would I be able to write 80-100+ words per sub-section if I had that much to say? I type fast, and again I feel like it's easier to demonstrate knowlege when you have more space, not less. I know that someone said they wrote quite a lot, as much as they could. I'm sure on some of the lettered sections they would only ask for a definition so I wouldn't be wordy on those parts.

There is no maximum number of words (or characters) stated, and I haven't been cut off in either of the TECEPs I've taken, and some of my answers were quite extensive -- well over the numbers you ask about.
is there still any relevancy with the Instantcert flashcards and the TECEP?

I was relatively brief in my essay responses and scored in the high 80s. The questions are structured in a way that almost seems to want a numbered list - which is what I did. My answers were not in essay format at all, they more closely resembled bulleted lists written in complete sentences.
newbie question, but better to ask than to suffer later.
I am registered for tecep for May term.
I should register for June term as well just in case I need another try at it ? and to avoid doing 12week online class hopefully
