I forgot about the BA Environmental Studies! I think that'd be a good option in this case. It's not super alt-credit friendly, but that may be a good thing if your credits mainly need to come from RA institutions. Then you can fill out the gen eds with Sophia & Study.com and graduate.

Probably not going to be 6 months for the degree completion though, if the program is online or hybrid, it may work...

Thanks for the additional suggestions. Yes, UW Tacoma has a pretty serious urban studies school. I don't believe there are accelerated/remote options that would work for me. UW does have an online planning Master's, with one of the focuses accelerated to a one-year course. I might end up heading that direction eventually.

Thanks for the advice so far. I have done quite a bit of reading here on the forum. I've logged 40 credits on Sophia working under the assumption that I will pursue the BLS in Project Management from UMPI. The value and speed seems to be too good to pass up. I may come around to TESU as I finalize the plan. Either way, I will take all of the science courses on Sophia and study.com, but I think I'll have to go to community colleges to take some more interesting courses (Ecology, Soil Sciences, Hydrology, etc).

Some new stuff has come to light in the form of college credits I'd forgotten about. I tore my rotator cuff years ago and took some courses in the downtime. Just got hands on my transcript. These are from Seattle Central College. There are a couple no credit courses I won't list. At the time, I was just enjoying lectures rather than trying to pass.

Engl& 102 Composition II - Credit by Exam grade: Y credit 5

So can I safely assume that I have English composition I & II and American Government covered for UMPI GECs or not so much? No issues with a Y (credit by exam) grade?

That's great, you've got some RA credits under your belt, so going either way for TESU/UMPI would work, you just want to max your transfers with ACE options such as Sophia.org or CLEP/MS for the remaining general education/electives. You can then take the final courses at the institution of choice for residency purposes... Create a spreadsheet of your credits and compare them to the WIKI, you'll use this for reference and tracking purposes...

I took some time tonight to digest the course catalog at TESU, as well as look through the recommended sources of RA credits in the wiki and a bunch of forum threads.  My initial takeaway is that there is nothing to compel me to TESU, as the science courses are quite generic, and I'm really after more specific courses.  

I think my best bet is to check the Bachelor's box asap with a UMPI degree, then see if it gets me into the certificate or Master's programs I'm interested in. There are lots of local colleges with the science courses I truly desire, which I can just pursue after the UMPI degree.
