I have not been able to find the specific discussion. It seems all over the place with many people discussing about various things.

I wanted to note that, neither credly or study show starting dates on their transcripts. I wonder how umpi determines the start dates

To be on the safer side of things, I would interpret that as, completed by May 1... In other words, anything on the credly transcript showing the completion end date of April 30, 2025.

Bummer! As I have the upper level accounting classes yet to complete!

And that's what you can do for UMPI as residency credits and major, for most institutions, you can only transfer in the general education and electives anyway, you're left with the major...

I finished every possible minor. I compared it to the Minors wiki (good job whoever worked on it btw). Philosophy is no longer viable due to Study.com change. Early Childhood Education and Sociology minors are viable. You're going to have to CTRL F it on the yourpace minors sheet to find it but it's there. I'll complete formatting it later.

Viable: Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Educational Studies, English, History, Humanities, International Studies, Management Information Systems, Management, Political Science, Pre-Law, Project Management Minor, Psychology, Social Studies, Early Childhood Education, Sociology

Close:
  • Philosophy – missing PHI 150 1 course
  • Community Health Administration - missing HEA 103
Possible with STEM Course transfer:
  • Physical Science- need Organic Chemistry I and General Physics II (CHY 221, PHY 154)
  • Chemistry – need Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II, and one upper chy elective (CHY 221, 222)
  • Biology –  Need BIO 350 - Genetics
  • Mathematics Calculus II, Foundations of mathematics, Linear Algebra (MAT 132 MAT 251 MAT 274)
Not viable: Art, Athletics Coaching, Cybersecurity, Energy Development & Policy, Environmental Studies, Film Studies, French, Geology, Graphic Design, Health & Wellness, Human Services, Physical Education, Recreation/Leisure, Sustainable Agriculture, Wabanaki Studies, Women’s Studies, Writing, Professional Communication.

Edit: I added PSY 311 into the CJ sheet. I also added the potential alternatives to the ACC sheet. Thanks for the info

Hi! I'm pretty curious about the biology minor. Why are you listing just the Genetics course here? Can you complete the others using Sophia and Study? There's a genetics ASU course that might do the trick https://courses.asuonline.asu.edu/general-genetics

I should have worded that better. The Genetics course is the issue with the Biology Minor. While it is possible to transfer it in, it's not really a common course and I don't think it's financially worth taking Genetics solely for a biology minor.

In general, these minors are only worth it if you already taken the courses since there are so many easier minors to get. However, it would make sense if you were planning on getting prerequisites for a healthcare graduate program. Even then, Genetics isn't a required prerequisite course for most graduate programs (as far as I know). This is why I recommend Chemistry and Physical Science.
Chemistry: Gen Chem 1&2, Organic Chem 1&2, UL Chemistry elective. http://catalog.umpi.edu/preview_program....turnto=260
Physical Science: Gen Chem 1&2, Organic Chem 1, Physics 1&2 http://catalog.umpi.edu/preview_program....turnto=260

Oh I get it. Yes, with the genetics course it gets quite expensive. So the chemistry one, for example, is viable and easier to do? What about the math one?

About math, we had this discussion a month ago: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...gy-or-math
Math isn't viable because of Foundations of mathematics. I'm sure there's are classes that can substitute it but it isn't feasible on paper. Edit: Foundations of mathematics has "5 previous transfer equivalencies with 3 of them being within the Umaine system" https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...gy-or-math

About Chemistry, it depends. What are you trying to do? How many credits do you have? Are you starting from scratch? The easiest ones are the minors available via Yourpace like Business admin, information systems, etc.
