Hi MissRN, I'm also studying for the Spanish CLEP and I've been using the REA Spanish Language Guide and Schaum's Spanish Outline to improve my grammar, verb tenses, etc. I also took 5 years of Spanish in HS a few years ago
but I forgot quite a bit about subjunctives, imperfect/preterite differences, etc. so these two books have been a great help for me in those areas.
Check out the SpanishHour.com site if you are looking to improve the reading portion. It has material to prepare you for the Spanish Clep and also offers 3 practice exams to help identify your weakness. It's free if you sign up with your Facebook account. One of the users passed the CLEP with a 50 after using the program with no Spanish background so it seems pretty good.
Also, I read on the forum that some users recommended the FSI Language Course website. FSI Language Courses - Spanish Programmatic
Good luck on your test!
