Hello All,
I just sat my last test, ECE's UL Social Psychology, and I think I smoked it. Steve, the cards are SPOT ON! I took my sweet time with this one and basically had all 400 questions memorized. I supplemented them with the following link as well: http://wps.prenhall.com/hss_aronson_socpsych_5 This is the textbook Excelsior wrote the test on. It had PP slideshows, pretests, chapter reviews, matching quizes, and finally...chapter tests for all 16 chapters. I did these over and over till I had the answers memorized. I downloaded the EC Guide for the test and took the 25 question practice test as well. I put alot more effort into this than I usually did because it was my last one and I didn't want to fail and have to take DSST's Civil War test (gag).
I now have to wait about 10 days to get the results from EC, but I am very sure I passed it. The test was 130 questions long, very short compared to the other ECE Psych 160 question tests I've taken. It took me 1 1/2 hours to complete using the old fashioned pencil method. About 70% of the time I knew the answer after halfway reading the question. I found it weird to feel confident on passing for a change... Maybe that's why people study hard....
I would recommend taking this one until after you've taken Research Methods in Psychology as about 15-20% of it was on the experiment design. The cards didn't cover this as well as they could of, but I was prepared because I had taken RM in Psych.
More to come after the results come in. Now I have the daunting task of persuading the education office to help pay some of these costly graduation fees Excelsior has....... Any of the military folks here have any luck with that? Thanks, Lee
