Why doesn't the college board offer online CLEP testing?
#6
DSST is already delivered via the internet -- this is why you have a username and password for your account. The key is the proctors must be trained and authorized by DSST -- they also have to log in which is why you are not able to actually launch any real exams at home. Still, a nice benefit is your ability to review your test scores, etc.

CLEP will be moving to internet-based exams starting this fall (creating your own account, registering to take your exam and paying for your exam, selecting your score recipient, etc.). Still, the same situation exists where the trained and authorized proctor must log in or you will not be able to launch the exam.

PearsonVue will never be used by DSST as long as that testing program is under the Prometric umbrella as they are direct competitors. If anything, maybe the Prometric test centers would eventually deliver the DSST exams.
