And you came here even though you said CP offers quicker and more definitive answers.

I came here 1. because I'd heard IC and the SEF were very helpful for DSSTs and 2. to be able to post and help others too. Also, for me, it's not a question of either/or, CP or DF, it's "Thank God I have both!"

I have an opinion on adults who need a lot of hand holding, but I'll leave it at that. Anyway, CP is not a college and only offers a few courses, so I don't see how they can help much with providing a Christian education in a college environment. Most colleges are not hostile toward Christianity. Most colleges are just secular.

So, people have a choice on whether or not they use a secular college, a Christian college, or distance learning and CP. BTW, this is a somewhat related point: since most colleges attack Christian morals, we (and lots of other CP students) chose distance learning as a way to stay out of that environment as much as possible.

See, my parents both graduated from B&M colleges. College-age friends either went to regular colleges, or went straight into work. Our family wanted another option. CP said they could show us how to get a degree through distance learning. But we needed CP to show us how it could be done. If we'd found this Forum then, it wouldn't have been much help at that point because, even with all the great info it contains, we didn't know how to use it then! CP did a world of good for us by showing us how to navigate this process. And I'll let you know that, because of their help, I'm now helping my sisters start the testing-out process the same way CP helped me. Because they showed me how, helped me form study habits, introduced me through their Forums to students with similar goals, showed me great study resources, etc...

My main point is, CP is filling needs. If you can figure out your distance learning degree yourself, great! And if you need extra help, CP is there. To help.
