But this has nothing to do with a BUSINESS charging for their product. Some people cant afford a car....doesn't mean Mercedes should give them one. Frankly, if they are as poor as you demonstrate, there is typically quite a bit of free support (PELL Grant anyone)....these folks wouldn't have to have any other support than the guidance counselor to get through college.

Any argument against CP based on their cost is on it's face invalid...your not being forced, cajoled, tricked, or threatened to use CP services.

And to the underpinning point of your argument...the info is in the public domain for free....but there is STILL A COST. When i discovered this and similar web sites I had to check the information, see if it was true, ask questions, probe the answer....if I'm so damn poor the lights are off (yes I've been there) then I now have to find a way to the library and use their computer to access this "free" information. No money is changing hands...but it is still costing me. Robert Heinlein popularized the acronym TANSTAAFL ...There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch...to me your point is refuted...I believe you are wrong...I believe your premise is flawed.

I don't argue that CP is overpriced and the info can be found elsewhere...it's true in my opinion. But we discovered all this around page 3 of this thread.

One way or another there is a cost to any service...the price is being born somewhere.
