if you want to know if a course is ACE approves all you have to do is go here
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training
it not only tells you if a course is currently approved, but also if an "out of date" course ever had approval
and Penn foster's site clearly states
Computer Information Systems Assoc. Degree-Accredited at Penn Foster
Quote:College Credit Recommendationsnotice it says MANY, not ALL
The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT)
has evaluated and recommended college credit for
MANY
Penn Foster College courses. The American Council on Education, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives. For more information, visit the ACE CREDIT website.
so there is no misrepresentation there
also from the same link
Quote:Accreditation
You can be confident in the credibility of our school. Penn Foster College is nationally accredited. This prestigious form of accreditation means that Penn Foster has met the high standards required by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). We operate with the highest level of integrity, so our graduates can benefit from an accredited education. Employers are more likely to hire and accept graduates of accredited schools.
so ACE is not the only credentialing service
Penn Foster also offers degrees accredited by DETC
so any course you take at Penn Foster should transfer to any of these schools
DETC
