If you are having difficulty with the English or Math departments there are places you might consider to take the courses instead of PCC. I'm not sure if that's your issue, but places like English-Independent Study in Idaho-University of Idaho have inexpensive, self paced courses that should satisfy the requirement. English 101 at U of Idaho is only 4 papers that you write and work through...not that big of a deal at all.
