cheersmate Took my English literature CLEP exam today 9/10/15. I got a 54 needed a 50. Only thing I used was InstantCert. I am an older student. I have four degrees and I am back in school re-training for my second career. I didn't have English literature on my transcript and needed it for my current degree. So, I decided to try this CLEP instead of taking the class. And it worked! I am glad I did it. All I used was InstantCert. InstantCert gave me everything I needed. The information on the flashcards was on the test. Yes, some things were different but most of the information was on it. I would have done better if I had a better memory and studied more but I'm glad I did this! Was worth it.
My test consisted of:
Reading passages and choosing the message the writer was trying to convey
Reading passage choosing literary device used
Reading passage choosing the author
Reading passage choosing a word for the selected word in the passage (ie:the word intelligent is used to mean....)
Selecting authors on their works and what they are known for (ie: this author is known for his plays which are epic, romantic..blah blah blah)
All I can say is the flash cards were dead on for my test. I wish I had studied more I would have done better. But I passed and that's all that counts I could not have done it without InstantCert. :willynilly:
