To answer the questions...
1- Yes, I do think many of you enjoy the pursuit. A few years ago, I'd told you without hesitation I love training. And taking courses. I know people who have spent their entire time in academia as a student.
For some reason, like the thing in the turkey, my button for taking classes I have no interest in popped out about a year ago....
2- No, I don't have any college writing courses under my belt. I have a few writing modules from various certification classes I've had to go to, and I've been a paid writer. I'm trying to warm up to the idea of being able to test out without a great deal of heartache and studying, though. I'd rather they just accept one or more of the previous learnings and let me move on, but I see that you really have to have the core basics, especially if you want the degree to be applicable to future degree seeking.
