The fact that ethics is a wide field, with competing views, I've been blessed to be apparently blind to. For instance, I know a *ton* of words. Deontology* - first I heard of it was yesterday.
* case in point. The spell checker didn't know that word...
There are many issues with laws. For example, why is it a good idea to throw an 18 year old man in prison for having sex with his 16 year old girlfriend and have him register as a sex offender for the rest of his life? Why did a teenage boy get a long prison sentence for punching someone who fell and it his head on the ground causing death while another teenage boy who stole beer, drove drunk, killed four people, and seriously injured 2 people only get probation?
