Signed up for the cohort part of the capstone which apparently comes with deadline prework not mentioned in the syllabus. Got that done on time and scheduled for a May 9 start (soonest they had).
Just received another email with more instructions to read and watch videos to prepare for the capstone...what is the deal with this pre-work?
AND there will be an email a week before the start date that introduces me to my cohort group. Good. But, get this, has MORE pre-work!
Most of this pre-work is to prepare us for the capstone, it does not directly relate to the assignment. What's the deal? Did they have hordes of people finish all the classes just to drop out during the capstone? By the time we get done with all the "here it is, get ready" stuff, we could have been halfway through the thing!
Clearly, there were no operations geeks on their team when designing this part of the program. Overprocessing is one of the 7 (or eight) forms of waste.
