An assessment will be anywhere from 15-35 or more questions. They change the length of the test if you are getting questions wrong. You need 70% or more correct.

Wrong on the 70%. You don't need 70% on any exam. You need to successfully complete 70% of the topics in the course. Why do people find this so difficult? Perhaps they need better instructions. Maybe the problem is they look upon it as a course while some people want to look upon it as an exam.
