Right; the best you can hope for right now is to contact various universities individually once you have the ECTS to find out what they'll accept them as. There is no big list of possible universities at this time. In theory, because they are ECTS, you should be able to transfer them to another university with relative ease. In practice, just as with the US, any given university may or may not accept a certain credit towards a given degree.
