Keep an eye on what happens to TRACS' recognition from the Department of Education and CHEA. They're on shaky ground. They were not renewed for a 5-year term and, instead, were given 12 months to come into compliance with federal standards. ABHE and ATS, the other religious accreditors, were renewed for five years. I previously did not know that TRACS promotes creation science as a science, which causes issues when creationism is taught in science classes instead of theology classes. This probably isn't the issue the Department of Education has with TRACS, but it appears to be the issue CHEA has with TRACS. TRACS just isn't meeting the U.S. Department of Education's criteria; they noted bad behaviors by TRACS-accredited schools.

To be clear, two of those articles are concerning the longtime problematic status of ACCSC, which is not the same as TRACS. The TRACS article seemed to be wrapped up with concerns for CHEA only, no?
