I think that IC is usually faster than SDC, but not by much. For both, you should have the course added to your Credly transcript within 5-7 business days.
With SDC, you rarely have to even think about the final exam. You need 210 points out of 300 to pass a SDC course. 100 points are available with the quizzes, 100 with the lab, 100 with the final exam. If you get 99 with the quizzes (there is/was a bug where people were reporting that they couldn't get 100% even though they answered everything correctly) and 70 on the lab (most people seem to get 80-90), you only need to get 32% on the final exam to pass. If you can get 95 on the lab, you'd only need about 17% on the final to pass. Some people do still struggle with this, but you probably don't need notes unless you find the course content to be especially difficult for you.
