least expensive AACSB accredited doctorate in US or internationally?

If you can use tuition assistance for those four years, you get a significant discount from those reimbursements!  A doctorate (DBA or PhD) would be more affordable.  I would still recommend completing a local/national program instead of international one if you have the option for reimbursement.

@Education Seeker, there is no harm in asking those financial institutions like Sallie Mae or alternatives to see if you can get a tuition payment plan in place, if there is one, I would certainly recommend that option if it helps affording the costs of the program.  Good luck any way you go...

As a follow-up to this thread recommendation, I spoke with the admission department today regarding the Montpellier University Business School in France. The program is a Digital (totally online) 3 year DBA AACSB, EQUIS, and provisionally AMBA program that costs 27,000 Euros or a little over $28,000 USD. I cannot think of a program in the US that is AACSB accredited and is that cheap. The next cheapest AACSB accredited DBA program is $57,000 at Marshall University. The PHD in Business Administration at UNC Greensboro is about $50,000 USD.

Regarding Montpellier, the only drawback is that it does not appear they take US Federal Stafford loans. If you are self-employed like I am with no tuition reimbursement, you would either have to pay with a private student loan like Sallie Mae or are there are other student loan companies like Paras (based out of India) that work with Montpellier. From my preliminary research, there are only 15 schools that participate in the US Stafford Loan program and Montpellier is not one of them. I did see that other private loan programs are available at about a 4-8% interest rate. They did say you could do a payment plan throughout the 3 years if paying out of pocket.

As a reference point, Grenoble University in France PHD in Business Administration program is about double this cost at about $60k for the total cost not including travel costs to LA or France. I think Grenoble does participate in the US Federal Loan program.

I am calling the Stafford Loan customer service number to verify Montpellier not participating in this program and also calling Sallie Mae to see if they would cover tuition for a program not based in the USA. I believe they do based on the fact they would pay tuition at UK universities. I will let you know what I found out.
