That's basically when you need to decide if it takes more energy, money, time doing the courses vs the challenge exams or PLA for the credit. Some people who like a lot of explaining, learning hands-on, documenting/typing and would prefer the PLA vs the course, then sure, that would be an option for them. Here's an example, TESU PLA can grant you 18 credits for $1400... it's so much cheaper than doing a flat rate term if you wanted to get the credits for the same courses offered.
