I am hoping this will help me with my application for a Canadian visa to emigrate there in the future - from the UK. I'm curious if anyone has managed to get their ENEB/Isabel Masters validated through WES Canada for IRCC? And is it worth getting it done for IRCC now, even if I'm not immediately planning to apply for Canadian visa until late 2024? I'm assuming once validated by WES for IRCC the credential is in the Canadian government system and will save me time later. But happy to be corrected if that's not true?
Also, can anyone clarify the difference between IRCC validation and the simpler degree equivalency validations? Are they basically doing the same thing?
A quick google says "A WES ECA (Educational Credential Assessment as Evaluations for Immigration) is valid for five years from the date of issue. If your ECA has expired or is nearing the expiry date, you can extend the validity of the report by ordering an extra copy."
I don't know if this is the same, but WES USA has a "course for course" evaluation versus a "whole degree" evaluation. The degree one just says if your degree is equal to a US degree or not. The course by course one is recommended for immigration, school admissions and some types of employment, and "translates" not just your degree, but also your GPA and credit hours. Also WES USA evaluations do not expire, so WES Canada is different in that regard.
Also I think some people are misunderstanding something in the thread. You can get a degree from Isabel which is from Isabel itself and is in no way connected to ENEB. So the badges people are seeing may be people who took classes are the "real" Isabel, not at ENEB.
