The big catch is that students must have some pretty solid knowledge of business in order to gain entry to this program:
Quote:A rigorous entrance exam, taken in a proctored environment, must be passed with a score of 80%. Students must understand and apply key concepts in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Finance, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Marketing, Management Information Systems, Principles of Management, and Operations Management.
For those of us without a background in business, economics, finance, etc., this may be a bar to entry. However, the site does say that there's a study guide available.
Quote:Study materials, including a course and a practice exam, are available to prepare for this exam. The link does say that this is fully self-paced. So in theory, could someone take several years to work through this, with the hopes that it may someday achieve accreditation? As always, there's the caveat that that may never happened. But given that this is free, the risk is pretty low.
