WGU is not for profit and they're endorsed by several states, Walden is for profit and I usually recommend them as a last resort type of thing.

I know it’s all unique to one’s situation, but other than personal interest, is NA good for job prospects, public jobs etc?
Not worthless, NA's fine for most scenarios. I usually recommend RA over NA due to recognition and possible additional programmatic and secondary accreditation for some programs at the under grad level. The higher you go, such as Masters level, it would matter even less, especially when you get to the doctoral level... NA degrees at a higher level are much more affordable.
