I just interviewed -- and hired! -- a smart young lady who told me she changed her major to Finance from Accounting because "you use your brain more in Finance and it's forward looking rather than about the past". So I still say Accounting post-bac if you want to be a CPA, but a Finance undergrad might be more flexible should you change your mind, find you want to work in risk, etc. And because you have to take the Finance concentration somewhere besides the Big 3 and you have benefits that cover costs, go to a non-Big 3 school.
