I would definitely try to use at least one famous person example, whether a character from a well-known book or a person from history,
it lends more weight to your essay than just a "friend" who you could have made up (Not saying that you would make someone up
!)If you wanted to give an example and use an imaginary character like Suzy Smith to prove a point, that seems a little more reliable to me than using
a friend or colleague.
