According to google, it is possible to accelerate the capstone @ TESU to make a desired graduation date for a BA in Psychology. Has anyone heard of anyone doing this?
I am trying to get 100 credits done in order to register for capstone. I will have them done the end of this month, but I can't be sure that transcripts will be reviewed in time for me to register for July term. August term is definitely possible with an accelerated option.
Graduation application deadline is October 15, transcripts due November 1 for December graduation, which I'm hoping for.

My degree plan/google spreadhsheet is attached.
If you want to graduate in December, your TESU courses must be completed by November 1. This means you could start a 3-month term as late as August 1 and a 4-week term as late as October 1.
It's possible to request an exception to the 100-credit rule, which I was able to obtain when I had over 90 credits. Also, if you have reached 100 credits but TESU has not evaluated them yet, you can show your Credly transcript when requesting an exception.
Degrees: BA Comp Sci; BS Business Admin (CIS); AS Nat Sci & Math — TESU (4.0 GPA) Certs: Google (IT Support, Digital Marketing, Proj Mgmt); W3Schools PHP

I would definitely be able to take the capstone for the August term, and it would be so much better not to take it at the same time as Information Literacy!
Thank you also for letting me know about the exception possibility, although I feel like August term is plenty of time for me.
By the way, my Credly transcript will add a few more updated credits, but the majority of recent credits will actually be from Study.com, which for some reason the transcript is not getting to TESU successfully. I will reach out to them, but any idea if TESU accepts the downloadable certificate from Study.com for approval to register for the capstone?

Yes You can! From July 2026 onwards you can take the 1-month accelerated Capstone. Remember to register for the 1-month "AC" section instead of the 3-month "OL" section. The only issue is that TESU have not listed the instructor for those sections (TBD) yet.
"Accelerated Courses
These 4-week independent study courses enable students to work in an accelerated fashion on their own to complete course assignments and take examinations. Like our e-Pack courses, students taking Accelerated Courses have no interaction with classmates."
"Do Accelerated Courses require fewer assignments and exams than online (OL) or Guided Study (GS) courses?
Accelerated courses require the same amount of work in each course as online and Guided Study courses. Per TESU’s Credit Hour Policy, please expect to spend 48 hours per week for each three (3) credit accelerated course. Students who have previous knowledge or experience in the subject of the course may be more comfortable in the Accelerated Courses. (https://www.tesu.edu/degrees-programs/co...6a633277-2)
So you should be fine taking the September 1-month Capstone. October 1-month Capstone is not likely feasible considering the transcript cut-off date is 11/01/26

Hi!
I know that Information Literacy is available at an accelrated pace, but are you sure that the capstone will be as well in July?
If th 1 month accelerated option includes the capstone, I would strive to graduate in September!
Thank you for chiming in!

So, I checked, and I do see the Liberal Arts Capstone is available as an accelerated option just like Information Literacy, wow. As long as funds permit (residency waiver fee for example), If I do both capstones concurrently in July, I could graduate in September--that is awesome!

I will say that once you are enrolled, the external transcripts can take some time. One course evaluation from Sophia took almost the entire month of May for me. If you need US Government, SDC will not satisfy it. Sophia's will. I found out about that one. lol.
