Adding courses after deadline

Just FYI to everyone UMPI changed their rule on adding courses. The calendar date for last day to add courses is a hard deadline no exceptions will be made. I learned this the hard way.

UMPI has a calendar date for the last day to add courses. However you could add courses after this date with approval from your advisor. This is no longer the case, there will be no more exceptions or approvals to add after the posted date.

Yes. That's what the YourPace academic calendar says. I would also pay attention to any emails that you get throughout the semester, because they occasionally change dates.

I believe the main reason is they want people to complete all the requirements before the end of session so they won't get any surprises if they can't complete the class. This might hamper those who are a tad slower and want to add that extra class or two and finish within the session...
