Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP
#1
I am giving this exam tomorrow. I have been preparing this exam for 1 week with REA book. Is this exam difficult? In peterson I got 41%, 43% in test 1 and 2 . Do I have to wait till i get in 60'S in peterson?

Im taking this one tomorrow as well, seems the peterson's is harder than the actual. Good luck, I used REA as well.

This is probably the easiest Clep in a lot of ways (especially if you have good verbal skills), although you will probably use most, if not all of your allotted time.

The goal is to go steady and just keep reading - if you are not a fast reader, it might be a harder test than average, but the comprehension and question-answering are not overly difficult.

I would say that this is an easy test if you've got a good grasp of written English skills and basic literature interpretation.

It's a hard one to study for, because it really boils down to your skills and not much to do with memorizing facts. For me, I thought it was super simple, but for someone whose skill sets lie more in other areas, such as math and science (for example), it may prove more challenging. I would just go and take it. Try to pace yourself and stay calm and collected. If you don't pass then focus time on exams that are easier to study for. You can always take Straighterline English classes. I am really impressed with SL so far and if you can take the class in a month, it would be about the same cost as a CLEP.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I passed this one no problem, but it did take up a lot more time than any other test I have taken thus far. I really like the REA books, but for this test the book didnt really help me much.

Sham, how did yours turn out?

The members of this forum have suggested I take this exam. I've seen you all speak a lot about REA as a helpful study guide and tool for this test. I have no idea what REA is. Can someone please filll me in as to what REA stands for, where do I get it, how much it usually runs, etc. Or, if they have anything else to add, or another direction for me to take, that is great too! As always, the info is most appreciated and I'm very grateful for it! Thanks!

REA is a brand or publisher of CLEP study guides, available on Amazon or your local bookstore.

Just wanted to say thanks for explaining to me what REA stood for. I had conducted a search on the main discussion forum for this info, but nothing came back. I will look on Amazon.com in a little while to see what I can find. Thanks!
