Anyone Graduate from TESC yesterday?
#11
burbuja0512: It's all thanks to Elinor, she was the one who found the AAS Security, Safety... degree. Yay! Tell your DS that he will love the FEMA's. He'll learn so much and feel more civic-minded - especially if he is called upon to remove dead animal carcasses - EwwwIck! BTW: I LOOOOVE that Princess Consort avatar - I'm so envious.....
Alleycat: What can I say? - You're always there for me - You're a blessing - Now that you have the new avatar should you change your 'handle' to Gamin (as in Gams - Legs to you youngsters)
ryoder: Happy day for you and me. How many degrees is this in less than a year? - 6 or 8? I've lost track. Congrats again my conservative forum friend.
Yay to all graduates and all future graduates!

Yeah I did too. December 16 with a BA in Natural Science/Mathematics. What's funny is that Friday, I officially graduated with my BA from TESC, but it was also the last day of my first semester in grad school...handed in my last final paper for the semester. It's weird going to an actual school, having to drive, park, sit my booty in a class and listen to 3-4 hour lectures 3 days per week. Grad school kicked my AZZ!!!! Just 1.75 years left. lol

How long until we get the actual degree....the tangible piece of paper? I remember it was something like it gets mailed 2 weeks after graduation.....or do we actually get it within 2 weeks? or?

Congrats all Graduates yes it took about 7-10 days to get diploma.

Story-- since I worked so hard to get that AAS approved I have started the FEMA's, but with so much going on I am moving slowly on them. It was thanks to you and Bric I decided to go for that one and I will get it done. I am closing on the new house this week so maybe I can devote more time to that. I have extended my tuition for 3 months and I might go for the whole year and just do that BA in SS too. Then I will be catching up with Ry and Bric with your multiple degrees.

I want that Crown Princess title too ( the consort isn't good enoughhilarious) how many more post till I qualify?

Congratulations, dblhelx! I knew there were some other folks who were graduating in December, I'm glad you let us know.
Clep101, If you keep collecting degrees I'll be convinced that PHd really does stand for "Piled High & Deep."

I always appreciate it when good degree options are mentioned over and over again. I know that I was so overwhelmed when I first came here that nothing seemed to make sense. I was several months into it before I figured out the SL thing and even further along before I figured out FEMA. So... I really think that each time a good idea is brought up, it helps someone!

Ha ha - I am glad you pointed out the Princess Consort, which I hadn't noticed! I love that and my two year old "princess" would be proud. hilarious

Congrats to you too dblhelx!!! Great job!!!

I know that driving to an actual B&M campus must get old, but I have to admit I am jealous. I do want to take a few classes once I don't have little kids in the house.. well if I ever stop traveling for work too. I love my MBA classmates and they're all over the globe at any given time, but I would really like to meet them in person!
