I am hoping that my TI-83 will pull me thru the 1 hour time limit. I will post with my thoughts on the exam. Wish me luck!

My take on the Business Stats proctored final:
It was about on the same level of difficulty as the other exam questions. I did get a little mixed up in the instructions however. There were 4 separate parts of the exam where you are asked to "pick 2 of the following 4 questions". Since the questions themselves are multi-part, I at first thought they meant to pick 2 parts out of the questions themselves! I figured it out a little later and was able to recover somewhat. All together, there were 8 questions to answer (somewhat of your choosing), but like I said, they are multiple part questions. I did not have much time to check anything in my notes or books. I was able to answer all of the questions in the alloted time, but I'm not really sure about my accuracy.
-Need 6 more credits for Excelsior College BS in General Business
-Tested out of 46 credits to date
Credits to finish:
Operations Mgmt-CSU-Pueblo MGMT 311
Business Policy- CSU Pueblo MGMT 485 or TESC exam???

I recieved my Stats final grade- passed with a 73! With my unit exam percentage of 97%, this translates to a course grade of 89. A solid B. I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't pull off the additional 3 points that would have given me an A, but I am sooooo relieved that I have overcome this hurdle. My advise to anyone taking this course is as follows:
1)Keep a notebook that has all of your assigned chapter problems and the exam problems and solutions in it and do all of the problems in the study guide. You will be able to refer to it during the final exam.
2) Make your very best attempt at achieving 100% on all 3 unit exams. They comprise 2/3 of your final grade.
3) Invest in a TI-83 calculator and learn how to solve the problems of the course with it- it will be a tremendous time saver on the timed final exam.
4) Before taking the final, use Post-It notes to index all of your notebook, study guide, and textbook chapters. Additionally, make up an indexed outline of everything in the 10 chapters so you know where to look for help.
5) Finally, do not make the mistake I made and understand the exam instructions before starting on the final exam. You will be asked to select 2 of the following 4 problems, ect. Work on only the problems you feel you can answer completely and avoid those that you feel you cannot. Remember, you only have 1 hour to complete the final exam. Use your time wisely!
So glad that one is over- on to CSU OPs Mgmt and whatever I decide on Business Policy!

Just a note to those who want to use this course to satisfy the Stats requirement at Excelsior. They applied the course as "pass/fail" (no letter grade). Actually good news for me as the B would have lowered my GPA. I think this might be good for other "math-phobics" like myself.
