Applied Liberal Arts Math TECEP + College Math CLEP ?
#1
Hey, guys.  I'm curious to know if TESU offers credit for BOTH their Applied Liberal Arts Math TECEP *and* the College Mathematics CLEP.  If so, I'd imagine that's a relatively easy 9 credits (especially if Modern States is still offering free vouchers).  The math on both of these tests is very similar, right?

Thanks for the help!

So, I'm a dum-dum & I think I just answered my own question. lol.... These two tests duplicate each other, so TESU can't offer credit for both of them. Oh well. I'll stick with the TECEP for enrollment purposes. (Sorry I can't find the "delete" button on this one!)

CLEP College Math comes in as MAT-102/103 and the TECEP comes in as MAT-105 so they are non-duplicating as far as I know.

Wait... What?  Ok, I'll definitely shoot an email over to advising.  Thanks!  (I wouldn't have even thought to pursue this without your comment.)  Woot!  Smile

From Advising:

The TECEP exam, MAT-105, Applied Liberal Arts Math, and the CLEP exam, General Math, do not duplicate. The CLEP exam will still transfer over as six credits.

So, assuming the math is similar for both tests, I'd say that's an easy 9 credits. Wooot! Smile

For anyone that has taken both the TECEP Applied Liberal Arts exam as well as the CLEP college mathematics, were they very similar? Was one harder than the other? Thanks all.

My kid took both within the last couple of months. The main thing that sticks out for her is the TECEP had some basic probability problems. In terms of math level, it seemed about the same.
