With cost being important but not the most important, would you choose Saylor, Sophia, Modernstates, Study.com, SL or something else for a majority of classes? Starting a BSBA at COSC in August. In most cases SL seems to be a good option for new subjects.

Bearing in mind that this is the TESU section of the forum and not the COSC section, COSC will only allow you to bring in 90 ACE credits after July 1st. Sophia is free right now and will land you most of those credits, so then you'd just need to find 24 RA credits to bring in.

Thanks for this. Are Sophia, Straighterline, etc. considered ACE credits or do they transfer in directly? If not, 90 ACE credits plus 24 credits from where? (six credits from the two required classes)

Also, if cost is not an issue Sophia or Straighterline?

If it is not a regular university or community college (and Sophia/SL/SDC are not) then they are ACE credits. 24 credits can come from other colleges/universities. Depending on the CC, these may be as cheap as $50-100 per credit.

Sophia doesn't require arranging for proctoring, so it's easy to complete the courses quickly. But they are only LL classes, mostly GE.

I have no experience with SL but they do have classes that you can't find at Sophia.

SDC has some classes that could count as UL credits, which can be difficult to get from inexpensive community colleges.

So, really, it's less of an either/or than it is figuring out your exact needs/wants and going from there.

Those 24 credits could be a challenge as we are living in Southeast Asia. Will also consider other schools but the student is 16 years old.

ASU EA is one option for 24 credits. $99 for 3 credits right now is a good price. Even the normal price of $400 for 3 credits isn't too bad, if they have something you need and you need RA credits.
