Hey Everyone,
Been working my way through my degree planning thanks to all the amazing posts and resources on this site. Between my transfer credits from years ago and known ACE equivalencies through Study/Sophia/Coursera I am on my way to a solid plan to completing my BS in IT. Obviously I will have to take SOS-1100 (which i just registered for the accelerated version) and Capstone but I have 1 Major Class I am having trouble mapping without having to actually take it at TESU, ITS-3400: Wireless and Mobile Networking.
Anyone know of an equivalency or replacement that I might be able to qualify otherwise without taking that class at TESU? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I made the Wiki TESU IT degree plan.
The 2 courses I couldn't map were:
- Wireless and Mobile Networking
- Windows Server Configuration.
If you find equivalents, let me know, and I'll update the plan.

https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...mendations toyed with the idea what Windows Server Configuration mapped to one of the classes in the Coursera Azure Security Engineer AZ-500 Course but I didnt see confirmation. Not sure if you heard one way or the other.

I missed reading that thread. I did update the Wiki to reflect that Coursera course that transfers to Windows Server Configuration.
Those Coursera certificates are definitely a honeypot for IT and CS credit at TESU. Not every course is easy, but they aren’t like pass/fail, all-or-nothing exams like other certificates.
Unfortunately, the Wiki Coursera page doesn’t list every single ACE Coursera course. It’s hard to know how each course will come into TESU unless someone takes the course or asks TESU advising how a Coursera course will transfer and gets it preplanned.
You’re on the right track, though. I would try to find more information on those Coursera certificates.

I'd be interested to know as well! One of the reasons I opted for CS is because I'd have redo Physics or Chemistry, which I don't mind, but I'm not too keen on doing the lab at TESU (Not sure how difficult it would be because I took those courses years ago) and the fact that Wireless and Mobile Networking and Windows Server Configuration (until recently) were not able to be transferred in.

(06-03-2026, 04:05 PM)I emailed them so verify if it would transfer as Windows server so will let you know what they say. If not I\ll be at 12 TESU credits so I might as well go for 15 so I don't have to pay the fee. (Work is paying for credits anyway but they won't pay the non resident fee or whatever it is) If it would have been just two classes I would have paid it out of pocket LevelUP Wrote: (06-03-2026, 02:45 PM)matycon Wrote: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...mendations toyed with the idea what Windows Server Configuration mapped to one of the classes in the Coursera Azure Security Engineer AZ-500 Course but I didnt see confirmation. OK. This is what I got back TESU Advising. Feel free to update the wiki as official verification.

Matycon, I was wondering if you are planning to just take "Wireless and Mobile Networking" at TESU?
Also, how did you tackle CMP-3540 Network Technology? The TECEP has a reputation of being quite difficult. Did you take and pass it? Or are you doing the course at TESU?
Finally, I wonder if the Google Project Management Certificate on Coursera would fulfill MAN-4350. Any idea?

Hey there! I am taking Wireless and Mobile Networking (ITS-3400) right now. No way around it. Material is a little dated but its perfectly fine as a course. So far a heavy emphasis on the evolution up to 5G.
CMP-3540 I was actually just thinking about. I looked at the syllabus and am fairly decided in the fact that prepping for the TECEP will be far more time intensive (and stressful) than the actual course. Or rather just evenly spread out prep. There is no exam. Just discussion forums, projects, and labs.
As far as MAN-4350, I do believe there is a coursera course that covers it but I ended up using Study.com Business 311 to cover it. Ill say that this was probably the most involved Study.com course I have taken. The projects were time intensive and I did quite a bit of research to complete them. If I wasnt already using study.com for other courses I might have opted for coursera since I have a sub through work but once I signed up I was committed to getting it done. That being said, Im not sure which course transfers and I would definitely check with advising before committing the time to the course.
Good Luck!
