BSBA CIS upper level (TESU)
#11
Ok I'll just plan on taking the UL classes. I was wrong about the total. I forgot the MIS DSST comes in upper level, so I have that one done.

How does it work at Saylor for the Networking and Software Engineering, do you get the ACE and send that to TESU or do you have to do a TECEP after you go through the Saylor course?

Once you pass the Saylor Direct Credit Final Exam for the course you add it to your ACE account. You will need to send TESU an ACE transcript; you do not need to do it immediately (you can), but many people wait while to send it all at once or in course blocks - as they charge you for the transcript to be sent.  Saylor and ACE have nothing to do with TECEP.

Ok, here's the confusion I have... The TESU page says you can go through Saylor's courses then do a TECEP, CLEP, Saylor Direct Credit or portfolio. No mention of ACE there. The only mention of it is on Saylor's page and on the ACE page. These 2 classes aren't listed as Saylor Direct Credit. They aren't CLEPs either. So is there a TECEP you have to do? Does TESU not accept the ACE for these 2? That's why I'm confused about it because there's no mention of it transferring from the ACE transcript to TESU for these particular classes.

Ignore the TESU page about this, it's not relevant.  Just do the Saylor course that is ACE-approved, send it to ACE, and then send your ACE transcript to TESU when you're ready.

TESU accepts all ACE and NCCRS courses, although the page you're on isn't really about that.

Do the TEEX classes transfer at 2 credits each or 3?

Great. Then I'll be 2 credits short in the upper level.

Think of it as having an extra UL credit, after you add the 3 cr UL course you'll need to make up the difference.

That is how I'm looking at it anyway. Smile I'll end up with 19cr in the AOS with 13cr UL.

Yeah, a 2cr course isn't helpful in the AOS unless you have a 4cr course in there to make up for it.  Plus, the 2cr course that will work in the AOS can easily be replaced by the 3cr exam instead (Fund. of Cybersecurity DSST).
