BSLA in Liberal Arts Excelsior
#1
I was reading the requirements for the BSLA and there are a few Depth Requirements if I don't want to select the Area of Concentration (21 credits) or the Major Option (33 credits).

In it it states that you have to select two of them of 12 credits each. 3 of which have to be upper level The first depth has to be in the liberal arts, but the second can be in applied sciences. I saw someone earlier use business for the second depth. How feasible would it be to select finance for the second depth. I already have 2 upper level finance courses. I was thinking of taking money in banking and personal finance for my other two courses. Would that be good or possible? thanks.

I am not sure that they actually have a "finance" depth requirement, they may just count it as Business Admin. I can tell you that they did count Money & Banking as part of my business area of focus even though it states on their catalog that it is considered social science. However, personal finance would not be considered part of the business admin category so you may just want to take another easy business test like intro to business.

Wondering what your area of focus in business was titled. I will shortly have the 21 credits for a focus area (business). Curious to know how Excelsior lists this.

Thank you.

Was the AOF in Psychology obtained with just literal psych type of courses; or did courses like statistics and possible others equate into it? Since that is one of the classes that is needed within the actual psych major.
