TESC First Evaluation - Question / Advice
#1
Hello, I appreciate any help or guidance as this forum has been so helpful to me!

I just enrolled at TESC and had my transcripts sent over for evaluation. I've attached the evaluation and would appreciate any feedback. It appears there are 2 courses that are not being used (Principle's of Supervision and Intro to Business).

Is there a way to move credits around so that all of my credits are best applied to my degree program which is BSBA - General Management?

Thank you!

The reason those 2 courses are down in "Other" is because the free electives section is already filled (with HEA-103 and BUE-101), and there is nowhere else to put them. None of those 4 courses are GenEd, so the only place to put them is Free Electives - and with the BSBA there is only room for 6cr. I know it's a bummer, because I have extra credits there too, so it's money wasted on courses that I can't use. I took the exams without knowing as much as I do now about the degree.

I think Here's to Your Health used to be considered a science course, but isn't any longer? And Personal Finance was always a Free Elective.

Here's a note at the bottom of the BSBA-GenMgmt page on TESC's website: "Note 2: Consumer Finance (Personal Finance) and Principles of Supervision cannot be included in the major area of study because of the fundamental nature of these subjects." I think Intro to Business is the same issue.

You need to plan out your TECEP's if you're on the Per-Credit Tuition plan. You need 8 total, not sure if you have any yet?

You also need to plan out your Specialization courses: you need 3 out of 4 areas covered, MAN is done, you also need ACCT, FIN or MAR. TESC has a few TECEP's that will help with that (Marketing Communications, Public Relations are both MAR, they have additional MAN, ACCT, & FIN ones). One additional course also has to be UL.

If you PM me, I will send you a spreadsheet I have to show you what's left.
