Good Afternoon,
I am a new user of Instacert and I am looking for any and all good advice. I have never taken a CLEP Exam and I have no idea what to expect. I have read a ton of posts about the successes people have experienced. I have 75 credits from traditional learning and I am looking to get this done quickly. How long should I study for each exam? Is there a list that ranks the difficulty of each exam? I have no idea in which order I should take the tests.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Jim

You may want to type in "easiest clep" in the search area. That should answer some of your questions.

First, are you enrolled in a school, or planning to? If so, then your academic advisor wil guide you as to exactly what type of credits you already have versus what you need (upper & lower levels).
Then, compare those lists to what is available for you to take from either CLEP and/or DANTES exams. You can check these out by going to http://www.collegeboard.com/clep and http://www.getcollegecredit.com .
After that, choose and exam and begin your study. Everyone here in the IC-Forums are your virtual classmates and here to help so if you have any questions - ASK!!
GOOD LUCK!!

Brian,
I am enrolled currently at TESC. I am seeking a BA in Liberal Studies. The college has provided me with a degree audit that shows me exactly what credits I need. I can "place" the CLEPS on the audit to determine how they fit.
Thanks for the advice. Earning a degree is something I have been thinking about since graduating from HS in 1983.
Thanks,
Jim

Wow, are you old or what???hilarious That said, it's the same year I graduated and I'm pretty much in the same boat. It won't take long and from what I understand TESC will accept about anything ACE approved, just like Excelsior. This is the site to be to get a degree done quickly, I have knocked out 37 credits since July of this year, and I'm about average. There are some here that put me to shame. The search engine, as several have already written, will answer most of the questions you have concerning the lower level tests and many of the upper level as well. Remain in constant communication with your education advisor to ensure you are taking the tests you need. Keep a positive attitude, study hard, and it will be over with before you know it. Us "Old" guys have to take care of each other. Good Luck, Lee

Lee,
Looking at 42 in little over a month. I spent some time in the Marine Corps after a year of college. What did you do/use to earn those credits so quickly? If I just need to study Instacert and some other readings that would work well for me. I work about 60+ hours a week. Not complaining...just makes getting to class difficult.
From one seasoned guy to the next...thanks!

Semper Fi!
I will be glad to get this behind me. I am going to use your motto. I have been killing myself trying to take classes on line. Slow and steady going forward.
Best Regards,
Jim
