I haven't found this info...YET.... in here so away I post.
What is the procedure....say for someone like me that wants to get started on this?
1) Find a local place that conducts the CLEP exams (for me, University of Phoenix)
2) Call them and schedule the exam...far enough out to have time to study.
3) Study and show up on the test day and kick some azz.
4) Have THEM transfer the credits to my school (TESC).
Is that it?

Thats it. Some places will let you take the exam same day if they have availability. Other places allow testing on a walk in basis with no appointment, although there are not as many of these available.
It's usually you, who selects the school to have them transferred to during the initial screens you will go thru at the test center right before you take the test.

Basically when you take the test there is an option to have the test results sent to a school of your choice. If you don't choose this option and where you test is whereyour grades to go, then you have to pay to have the results sent to another institution.

You should be enrolled though to have test scores sent directly to your school at the time of the test. Is that right? If you're not enrolled, a transcript of the scores can be sent to the school later (after enrollment) for a fee. True?

True. For a $20 fee, you can have CollegeBoard send the scores for all tests (or just selected tests) to the school of your choice. Same with DSSTs.
