I don't know much about COSC's degrees, but one thing I do know is that you can also take ALEKS Beginning Algebra for credit.
Regarding the 3 stats courses there, I know that TESU counts them as all the same, but again, I don't know COSC.
One thing I do know about most schools (COSC included): you do not have to take a lower level course once you take one that is higher. So if you take and pass Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra, the would not be considered "invalid" because you didn't take Beginning Algebra. If you take and Pass Spanish 3, it would still be valid even if you didn't take Spanish I & II. I think the only thing you want to do is not leave anything on the table. Meaning that if you can get credit for Beginning Algebra, then you should take it/test out of it too.
