As you know, COSC requires a natural/physical science class with a lab component. This has been problematic for some students. I recently completed my lab science requirement with CHEM 101 - Chemistry and Society from Colorado State University at Pueblo. Cost was under $ 700 for course and lab. Purchasing a one edition older textbook added to the $$ savings. I returned all my (open book, non-proctored) exams and lab experiments by mail. I "don't science", and this was very user friendly. I pulled a B in the lecture class, and an A in the lab.
Overall, not as grueling as I had feared, and I'm glad to have that box checked off. I thought this might help others who are wondering which route to take for their COSC science requirement.

Course Description:
A "home laboratoryâ to accompany the video lessons for Chemistry and Society (CHEM 101). A series
of laboratory exercises from the World of Chemistry Essentials Study Guide.
The body of knowledge that we call chemistry is a rich and fascinating field of theory and fact, which
