So I'm trying to figure out the best course of action, in which I can obtain my BA in Sociology at COSC, for the least amount of money in the quickest time. All advice is welcome please HELP!!! I'm starting with ZERO college credits. I want to finish my degree by this summer.

Since you have zero credits, you're starting from a difficult position. COSC requires at least 24 RA credits to be brought in. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ch...te_College If you're dead-set on COSC, and assuming that you're in the US, I would recommend spending 1 semester and $1743 getting your associates degree at http://online.snow.edu/ This would net you 60 RA credits. You could also spend $1667 getting exactly 25 RA credits (COSC requires a science with a lab) from TEL Learning ( https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/TEL_Learning); this option does not require you to be a US resident.
A better option, considering you have 0 credits, would be to get a sociology degree at TESU instead. TESU will let you transfer in everything except the cornerstone and capstone; no RA credits required. https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/sociology If you go this route, the first thing you'd need to do would be to go to Sophia.org and take everything except the Foundations courses and College Readiness. Depending on how fast you work through English Comp & Public Speaking, this will be completed in 3-4 months for a cost of $237-316 and net you about 80 credits. You can then fill in the rest of the degree cheaply with Study.com and other sources.

Thank you so much. I am in the US.
Yes this is exactly what I want to do the latter option. But I didn't think that TESU had Sociology. I'll look again. So I can take all of my LL classes at Sophia and then take the UL at Study? And they will take all my transferred credits are you serious. OMG! That would be amazing.

TESU does require 6 credits with them: capstone and cornerstone. But the rest can potentially be taken elsewhere. As a warning, looking at the required courses, I'm not 100% sure that you can fully test out of the Sociology degree at TESU. But the same can be said of the COSC degree.
At TESU, you need 15 UL Sociology credits (5 classes). Study.com has 1 UL class (Sociology of Work) and Coopersmith has 3 classes.
BYU self-study has some courses that might work. https://is.byu.edu/catalog?school=18&sub...pecial=All
Social Development: https://is.byu.edu/catalog/SFL-351-M002
Introduction to Social Work Methods: https://is.byu.edu/catalog/SOC-W-300-M001 (You'd have to check if this transcripts as UL credit at TESU.)
University of Idaho has "Marriage and Family" and "Race and Ethnicity" available as UL credits: https://www.uidaho.edu/-/media/UIdaho-Re...atalog.pdf Cost is $510 for each of these two courses.
The main sticking point is the "social theory" class. I'm not sure where that one can be gotten. Hopefully, someone else knows.

Thank you. I really appreciate it.
One more question. So are there any BABS programs that you can completely test out of? And if so which one? Just curious.
Thanks again. I really appreciate your help.

At TESU, you can completely test out of Psychology and History. Also English, but that requires a specific CLEP test that isn't going to be available to everyone right now. Possibly also Criminal Justice.

At TESU you may be interested in the BALS w/Social Sciences concentration - as it aligns with your sociology interest. That is completely able to be tested out of; other than the Cornerstone/Capstone.

Really, ok! That is awesome. You guys have truly made my day.
Just making sure I fully understand.
For example Psychology: I should go to TESU and look up the required courses for psychology. Then go to Sophia and take all of the available courses except for the two that you told me not to take. Then go to study.com and take the other required UL courses. After doing that I should be able to transfer all those credits over to TESU. Then take my Cornerstone /Capstone and then I should eligible to graduate.

First go to Sophia and take all but 4 courses ( https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/So...lency_List - avoid the ones that are "no credits awarded" at TESU). Then come back here and people can help you find the UL credits. There are some completed degree plans for Psychology in the completed degree plan section of the forum that you can use as a guide. But the courses that TESU accepts (or not) could potentially change in the next 3-4 months, what with the turn of the year coming up.
Which reminds me, it'd be a good idea to apply to TESU now to lock in your chosen degree before January 1st when there could be changes to the catalog. You might as well do the FREE TEEX courses before you do Sophia. They'll come in as electives of some sort. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Fr..._of_Credit
It'll also help if you have a second monitor available while doing TEEX/Sophia. Both are open book and everything is so much easier with two monitors.
