Hi everyone! I am looking at potential colleges and I was just curious to see if anybody has heard of / gone to Cedarville University in Ohio. I will be going to my local community college next year, but it doesn't hurt to look at four year colleges now. Does anybody have any positive or negative comments on the college? professors? atmosphere? curriculum?

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Ok, maybe I'm biased, since I'm going there this fall (actually in two weeks,) and the campus is within four miles of my house, but Cedarville is a great school! The main reasons I chose it (other than proximity to home) are: professors who really care about, remember and pray for their students, and even the prospective students who just come in to ask questions; their great reputation for 'hard' disciplines as well as liberal arts; and the fact that it is a relatively "outgoing" Christian school, i.e, they are very aware that the rest of the world is not going to have the same concentration of like-minded people, and therefore focus on open-mindedly engaging the broader intellectual culture. The reasons you might not choose to come are mainly that we are out here in a very rural area, and the theology taught in their required Bible classes may not agree with the doctrine of your denomination. That said, I hope you come!
In Christ,

Phew, Cedarville is a lot of money. I know many people who have gone there and almost all of them liked it. However, you have to keep in mind that one semester there is the cost of my entire degree. There are some benefits there, but realistically you do have to weigh them against the costs. There are other (arguably equivalent or better) Bible programs that you could supplement a secular degree with that would cost you immensely less. Just as an example, my church offers a program that is partially ACE-evaluated: Vineyard Leadership Institute that costs truly a fraction of the cost. It's a personal decision, but keep in mind that with just one or two years' tuition you could get a bachelor's degree, do a Bible program like VLI, and go do missions for a while. A lot of students feel it was worth it to go to Cedarville. I never would.
Best of luck wherever you go!

I know it's been a little while since anyone posted about this, but I was talking with some friends who are planning on attending Cedarville in the future and the main reason they are going is because 1) the college was in their home state and 2) they give scholarships/grants based on ACT and SAT scores so for fellow homeschoolers that was a huge plus.
Anyway, I know it's not much, but I thought I'd share it.
