Sorry ya'll - i know i post something like every second - im just trying to get as much info as i can before i drop down tons of money on a hope
Just answering ONE of my questions is much appreciated.
Thank you
1) I wanted to know: Because ACE has approved Penn Foster's Cost Accounting course as upper level, will Charter Oak accept that 3 credit course as upper level? Also, do you know if its the same thing for Excelsior?
2) Did COSC really change their policy to where now you have to acquire 30UL credits before you can get a degree?

ACE approvals are only recommendations and it is up to the school to decide how much credit and what level the credits will be. Usually they will follow the ACE guidelines, but there are cases where they do not. The only way to know for sure is to ask an advisor at each school. But my guess would be that it will count as upper level credit at both schools.

I took Cost Accounting through Penn Foster and Excelsior has approved it as an Upper Level Business Elective. Always good to get prior approval though from an advisor before taking it.

I would go with Excelsior that assigns a grade letter to all the Penn Foster courses that are ACE approved and recognizes Intermediate Accounting I and II and Cost Accounting as upper level.

To answer my 2nd posed question from above, i just got an email back from charter oak that they do indeed require 30UL credits for a Bachelor's Degree.
So just to clarify for newbies - all big 3s, TESC, EC, and COSC all require 30UL.
......Boooooooooooooo!!

I put together a list of UL exams for a BSLS at EC here:

--------
I'm not a TESC student so I'm not sure about this; I thought some, but not all, of the majors require 30 UL now. Be sure to check what your degree requires and the level of course/exam that is counted as UL.
