What do I need to be shooting for on the flashcards, as in correct percent, in order to be well prepared for the Psych clep? From what I gather the flashcards should be more than sufficient on this one. Is that correct?

Don't type, just hit enter over and over reading everything as you come across it. Typing answers takes too long. Log into DegreeForum and check out Exam Specific Feedback to find what you need to know about the test.

I really am interested in working towards the test from learning the flashcards, as opposed to the popular relying heavily on specific exam feedback area... that arena is not something I desire to lean heavily on. As a result, would like to think in terms of what percent I need to be hitting on the flashcards.

If you have access to the flashcards, then you have access to the specific exam feedback. Some of the people who have posted there have indicated what percentages they were answering correctly and what their actual exam scores were.

I don't recommend any percentage. The blanks that you fill in are just a small percentage of what the exam is going to cover. You should try to remember as much as you can that's mentioned throughout the flashcards. IC is only meant to give you enough general knowledge so that you can pass the exam. IC is not going to cover everything, so you're going to have to make educated guesses. I supplemented my studies with a free online textbook and a free video series. Going through the flashcards 2 or 3 times should be enough. Remembering the specific words that go into each blank is not going to add much value, especially since the flashcards are always the same and are not worded anything like the actual test. Other practice tests have variation just like CLEP has different versions for its tests.
Like you, I did not care too much for the Specific Feedback forum. The only things I got from there were some study guides people made with definitions of various terms and short biographies of important people in the field. It just cut down on the time I had to spend on looking them up myself.

That seems like good advice. Never viewed the flash cards in that light. I did pass the Sociology exam using just the cards, and so was thinking they might be enough again. Frankly, I find going through the same ones over and over again brutal; so I am thinking I just do a set only a few times, get the sense of it, and then move on to something else. Might you remember the name of the video series?
