Do colleges accept random certifications like a+ or ace personal training for credit
#1
The tItle explains it all. I've notice That some of my courses prepare people to take tests. Well if I have already taken the test can I use it for credit?

I know wgu accepts certifications for credits but that's also because when you have a final exam it would be a certification exam.

But could I use my ace personal training cert to my advantage or any other cents that are out there? Has anyone tried to do anything similar

I think some colleges might. Excelsior, COSC and TESC have all evaluated various training programs/certifications and will award credit for some. Some certifications might be ACE or NCCRS recommended and some colleges will accept their recommendations. Each college sets their own transfer policies so it would vary from school to school.

I got evaluations at both TESC and COSC. TESC gave no credit for my CompTIA certs (A+ & Sec+) but COSC gave credit for each. I then paid and had my CEH cert evaluated and received credit for it as well. You can check to see what credential they have already evaluated here:Charter Oak Evaluated Cedentials. And if it isn't there you can pay to have it evaluated like I did. Once something has been evaluated it will show up on that page and others can receive credit as well (ex. CEH is now listed).
