I'm going to need a Cost Accounting class to get into an MS in Accounting program but since it isn't an area of interest for me, I just want the easiest possible class for credit I can find. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Before answering your question, here's a question for you: Can this to be ACE/NCCRS or do you need RA credits? If ACE/NCCRS, then StraighterLine, Study.com have options for Cost Accounting. For RA, your local college / university would be the best bet, unless you're looking for online classes out of state.

Have you looked at a local community college? They may be a cheap option.

Community college won't work since I just moved to a new state and don't qualify for in-state tuition.
Straighterline's Managerial Accounting (which transfers to TESU as Cost Accounting) is kind of hard from what I've heard. I might have to go with it, though.
ACE/NCCRS credit will work for me because TESU will take it- I'd just have them swap out Forensic Accounting in the Accounting AOS for Cost Accounting.

StraighterLine only recently removed exam proctoring, which might help!

Straighterline is $99/month, plus the course of the class. If you are going Study.com, see if TESU accepts alternative classes for their AOS, ask to see if Applied Managerial Accounting can suffice as that's an Upper Level course. This actual class is included in the College Starter which is just $95/month, all you can take, two classes at a time... I would look for another upper level class that's also offered on the Starter, there isn't a need to bump up to Saver.

TESU does accept the Study accounting classes and will accept that Straighterline class. I've already gotten Applied Managerial Accounting accepted by TESU. Knowing the content of the class, I doubt that WGU and Liberty would accept Applied Managerial Accounting as fulfilling their Cost Accounting requirement, but I'll ask.

Cost Accounting is not one of the easier accounting courses in general.

https://www.prereqcourses.com/product/ac...ccounting/
Self-paced course ($675) with an Upper Iowa University regionally-accredited transcript.
Grading Criteria: Student Autobiography 1% Homework Assignments 34% Unit Quizzes 30% Current Events – 1 each unit 20% Final Exam 15%
As you can see, you only need 53.333% on your final to earn an A in this class (provided you did all your Assignments and Quizzes of course)!
Can't get any easier than that.
