Programs like this are soulless, transactional. This isn't a reflection on the quality of the course content or the research students produce. (I have no idea about either of these qualities in this program.)
When you do a doctorate, the connections you make can last a lifetime. Sometimes directly, but also their affect on you. You're joining a community of scholars. I would be disappointed to miss out on that.

I have registered with Upgrad for their Ed.D. I am Canadian and I am currently living in Vietnam. I will update you on my journey with Edgewood University through upgrad here. Btw, the tuition fees were less than $10000.
Congrats! You're the second or third Canadian from the board that got into the program, what did you bring to the table? Did you fill all the requirements for entry or were you put into the conditional entry pile? It'll help future applications regardless of citizenship or location, not just Canadian applications... No conditional entry. I checked all the requirements. I have two masters in Education and a post-graduate certificate in Special Education. The employee at upgrad Vietnam was really helpful! She helps with tuition fees instalment and help me get the tuition fees avilable before the new one who reflects the new exchange rate. Being in Vietnam helps a lot too.

I’m excited to start my DBA classes on September 30th!
I was wondering, will the online sessions be recorded so we can listen to them later, or will recordings not be available. Thanks!!

The lectures are all video-based and posted on Blackboard. You can watch them as many times as you like. The office-hours are normally recorded and distrubted as well.

Are they looking for anything specific in the application? How long did the process take?

Wow, just checked our US currency vs South East Asian ones such as Indonesia, Laos, PI, VN, etc. We're doing pretty well! I wonder if someone with a temporary visa (while we wait for a perm visa) can score a deal with Edgewood/Upgrad. I wonder if they have PO Boxes or mail forwarding in those countries, I would guess they do... Maybe I'll have to get a perm retirement visa and think about retiring there...

This is correct, and they don't care if you hold a US Passport.
I am just in the process of completing my application. I just learned that if you used a referral code that you receive 50% off the cautionary deposit—I could have saved $500. I only learnt about this because my spouse used my referral code and received the 50% off the deposit. I did not see this anywhere in the forum or any mention of this in upgrad's website.
The steps for signing up is:
- Submit the online application
- Send an email to Edgewood's online admissions team and your enrollment specialist with an SOP, your passport, and masters degree
- Wait to be shortlisted and receive your offer letter and then pay the deposit, or full amount
- Submit additional documentations -- passport, bachelor's degree photo + transcript, masters degree + transcript, and a photo. These documents will be sent to Edgewood for validation
If you're looking into submitting an application and want to save on that deposit, my code is XCRARA.
